SUMMARY

Known Studio is pleased to present Comfort Zone, a one-night photography exhibition and zine release by Katie Walsh, featuring works produced between 2016 and 2025. Marking her first solo exhibition in Los Angeles, Walsh uses photography to explore connection, intimacy, and the quiet dynamics of looking and being looked at. The exhibition is accompanied by a zine of the same title, published by -ISM.

Across the images, moments of familiarity and closeness unfold between photographer and subject. Through an approach grounded in trust and ease, Walsh’s work examines how relationships— both personal and fleeting— shape the space between observer and participant. The photographs reflect a search for comfort within vulnerability, and the freedom and confidence that can emerge when that comfort is established.
